What are your siblings doing outside

For those of you that have younger siblings, what do you think they are dong outside? I personally have a a younger sister, who is 4, and a younger brother, who is 1.  My younger sister, Violet, absolutely loves running around in our backyard, and most of the time it’s harmless, but what if she could get hurt? last week Violet was playing outside, and i was helping make dinner. I went out to check on her, and i asked her what she was doing. She answered right away with something that scared me, a lot. “Guess what Bella, I ate a mushroom!”

We have all heard that mushrooms we find outside should never be eaten, but to her it was just food! If your sibling ever decides to eat something outside what should you do?

First, you should obviously tell your parents, they should know what to do. If you are home alone, tell a neighbor or someone you trust.

Second, call poison control. They will probably ask you to describe the mushroom, so you should be prepared.

lastly, you should do exactly what they tell you to do. If the under gills of the mushroom (under the little umbrella looking thing) are stark white, your sibling will immediately need to be taken to the hospital. If they are any other color, they will probably be fine.

Violet was okay, thankfully, but you should always be prepared for these kinds of thing. If sh wouldn’t have told us, or i wouldn’t have asked her what she was doing, we would have had no idea.

Now you know what to do if this ever happens to you. The most important thing is to stay calm. If you freak out, they will too.
