Are Redskins changing there name? We don’t know yet, but the some  people feel that the current name is offensive, others say that it is okay, “it is a tradition”. I think the people that don’t like it are over exaggerating. It has been like that for a very long time and yes, it is like a tradition that a lot of people like.

The redskins are very good, but the name that they want to change it to is really boring on the other hand Redskins is a very catchy name as my opinion. 39% say they should and 91% say no.

Www.Debate.org,  justinschubring says “The decision should be made solely by the Native American population. Not a bunch of predominantly white politicians telling us what is and what is not offensive. Its become another silly left vs. right debate that does nothing but spin our wheels in a puddle of mud. Based on studies, 90% of Native Americans found it unoffensive and many more see it as a tribute to their ancestors.”

Www.Debate.org,  HumbleHannes says “People say the majority of the Native Americans don’t get offended and because of that we shouldn’t consider this a big problem. Just that is a major problem. That means the culture of racism is so deeply ingrained we don’t even see the racism when it’s right in front of us. To get rid of that culture and reach a society without racism a name-change would be a step in the right direction. And also there is no logic in denying the problem just because all Natives don’t get offended. That is the same as ignoring the feelings of the many people who get offended and that’s not a very nice thing to do.”

So what do you think? Do you agree with  justinschubring or  HumbleHannes?are the people over exaggerating?
