Dolphins Dying For Shark Bait

Don’t let this happen to them

by: Madi Davis

Each year over 15,000 dolphins are dying just for shark bait. And they are doing it for illegal shark trade and that is not right. The police are not doing anything about it.

Stefan Austermühle, the president of Mundo Azul and an undercover reporter himself says, “I just went numb looking at the pitiful dolphin being battered with a club. All I could do was continue recording the event in the hope that making the world aware of this tragedy can somehow bring an end to it.”  No one has. After all, the dolphins are not hurting  us, we are hurting them.

“Using dolphins as bait?” Jones asks incredulously. “That’s like using Albert Einstein as a traffic bump… It’s an extraordinary act of cruelty.” Once again, they just keep doing it. They don’t know what they are doing. They try to make money but this is not the way to do it. They could just get a new job or just sell fish, not dolphin.

After all of the thing in Peru, it makes me cry.  I hope someone can stop the bad fishermen that are doing this.
