“Water, 35 liters. Carbon, 20 kg. Ammonia, 4 liters. Lime, 1.5 kg. Phosphorus, 800 g. Salt, 250 g. Niter, 100 g. Sulfur, 8 0g. Fluorine, 7.5 g. Iron, 5 g. Silicon 3 g. And fifteen other elements. Those are the elements to make an average adult human body. You can buy these elemental ingredients at the market with the pocket money of a child. Humans are made so cheaply.” This is a quote from an anime/manga called Fullmetal Alchemist episode 1:Those Who Challenge the Sun. Fullmetal Alchemist was made by Hiromu Arakawa, a 40 year old female Japanese artist who was born on May 8, 1973,and was created and aired on October 4, 2003.
The show is mainly about two brothers,Edward and Alphonse Elric, better known as Ed and Al, with a horribly sad past. When Ed was 11 and Al was 10, they tried to resurrect their mother ,who had died from heart problems, but things went horribly wrong. They needed a sacrifice, but didn’t know, thus resulting in Al,the youngest brother, to lose his whole body and Ed, the oldest brother, lost his left leg. So,in order to save his brother on earth, he sacrificed his right arm and bounded his brothers’ soul into a body of armor and rushed Al’s body to Rockbell Automail, where the Elrics’ close family friends own and operates the business. Edward had to get his arm and leg replaced with” automail”- artificial body parts that act as actual ones-through an assumingly long and painful surgery. Afterwards the brothers burned down their home so they can never return to the life they had until they can regain their original bodies. And the story gets better as it progresses. So if you want to watch it, go do so NOW!!
