Intergalactic Prison Break

The new Marvel movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, starts off with a boy and his dying mother.  He runs outside of the hospital, only to be greeted by a spacecraft.  He is picked up by it’s tractor beam and his adventure begins.  Peter Quill, who calls himself Starlord (Chris Pratt), becomes an intergalactic thief who gets caught in a planet where he is trying to sell a mysterious orb that he found.  He goes to prison and meets his friends, a raccoon named Rocket (Bradley Cooper), an assassin named Gamora (Zoe Saldana), a tree life-form named Groot (Vin Diesel), and another jail mate called Drax the Destroyer (Dave Batista) who wants revenge on Ronan, the one who killed his family.

The actors did a great job in portraying their characters and their personalities.  The movie has an excellent plot and is a great mix between comedy and action.  Of course they added Stan Lee in the movie because it is after all a Marvel movie and he is the creator of Marvel.  Though there are many weird names throughout the movie that make it tempting not to pay attention to them and just wait until something blows up or another joke is made by the mischief-filled characters, it all comes together at the end.

In the previous Marvel movies that have been made, many of them have been hinting to the Guardians of the Galaxy and the character The Collector. The Collector collects infinity rings that are very powerful, and can also kill the person who touches them if they are not powerful enough.  Once the ring is stolen by Ronan the Accuser, a war is started over who gets the infinity ring.  If it falls into the wrong hands the whole galaxy could be in danger of being destroyed.  The alien betrays his master, Thanos and he turns into an intergalactic fugitive.  After Ronan is defeated, the team earns their payment and rides off to stop another threat in the galaxy.  Overall, it is a great movie filled with great moments.

You do a nice job of transitioning between each topic, and the article has a nice flow to it.

The one thing that distracts me a bit is the “it’s” that should be an “its” in the first paragraph.
