MixFest Extravaganza

Ever been in the front row of a concert? I recently went to MixFest, which featured Nick Jonas, Fifth Harmony, Kalin and Myles, Echosmith, Bea Miller and Megan Trainor (who cancelled after getting sick). This amazing group of artist made the night perfect.

The first performance was Bea Miller, which I sadly missed due to parking and traffic. The first performer I saw was Kalin and Myles, and I have to say they did very good. After getting everyone pumped by playing “Turn Down For What,” “Loyal,” and ” Do My Step” they sang my personal favorite, Love Robbery.  I was in standing room only which meant I was right next to the stage, Myles pointed at my friends and I twice…it was mind blowing.

After Kalin and Myles was Echosmith. Although I don’t know many songs by Echosmith, I sang every word to “Cool Kids.” The one thing I liked the most about their performance was how much energy the lead guitarist had, he was jumping around the whole time.

Next was Fifth Harmony, who I am literally in love with! These five girls have truly amazing voices and they work perfectly together. Starting with the song “Chandelier” by SIA they sang their hearts out. I’m pretty sure I lost my voice when it came to the song “BO$$.”

Last but not least was Nick Jonas, who was by far the best performance of the night. His song “Jealous” just about gave all of the girls (and women) in the crowd a heart attack. “You’re all sexy, beautiful people!” yelled Nick before starting his song. At the very end of his last song Nick reached down and touched my friend and I.

That was the end of the amazing night. Megan Trainor later tweeted saying, if you keep your ticket, she will be back at the same stage very very soon and everyone with a ticket from MixFest!
