Alex Lee, a sixteen year old worker at Target, became an overnight sensation everywhere when a girl tweeted a picture of him that gained him instant fame. The picture went viral!

On November 2nd, it only took 6 hours after the picture was taken, for Lee to go from having 144 Twitter followers, to having 730,000 followers on Twitter and 2.4 million followers on Instagram. During an interview on CNBC’s  “Fast Money”, Alex mentions how he would like to do something positive with all the attention.

While this attention has a positive side, it also has a negative side. “I’ve been in the house the entire time,” Alex admits. “I’m kind of scared to go out in public.” Him and his family have received death threats, and have had their personal information such as, social security numbers, bank accounts, and phone information, leaked. Even through all the negative, Alex still would like to make and do things with this once in a lifetime opportunity.
