Students Choir concert in preparation for UIL
Choir will be having a Pre-UIL concert on Tuesday, March 28 in the Lanny Naegelin Theatre from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The choir will be hosting this concert to showcase their music. All choirs will be performing, such as the varsity, junior varsity, and freshman choirs.
“A choir concert is fun and hectic,” varsity singer Kaylee Boggan said. “The audience rather quiet and respectful, but each concert can be different from the rest,”
This concert will showcase the same music the choir will be performing at the choir UIL competition in April. The choir will be performing a variety of songs, such as “Psalm 100” and “Ubi Cantas”.
“There will be a total of five groups; each group will be singing three songs each,” Assistant Choir Director Bonnie Smith said.
The choir will start after school practice for the concert the last week of February. They will practice Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday right after school to 5:30 p.m.
“We will start practice the last week of February in order to have as much time as possible to perfect our sound,” junior Barbara Perez said. By Bailey Zuniga
