Digging Into a Chemical Free Zone

Students participate in a FUNdraiser

Winners Circle will be holding a volleyball tournament at the NEISD Sports Park on Sunday, April 2 at 2 p.m.

The tournament serves as a fundraiser for organizations that help with the rehabilitation of drug and alcohol use and serves as a place to have fun without drug and alcohol use.

“[The reason for the tournament is] to bring back fun, chemical free event for the campus and to raise money for Rise Recovery,” Winner’s Circle Sponsor Beth Fox said.

Students can participate and make their own team. The sign-up sheets will be available after spring break.  For any questions, contact Mrs. Fox in her office in room 8106.

“To participate, students have to get a team together,” senior and president of Winner’s Circle Ishani Patel said. “(There should be) six people on a team total and they have to sign up. It’s $5 per person.”

Students are prepared to participate and are looking forward to the tournament.

“I’m excited to compete and play with friends,” sophomore GeorgeAnna Hurley said. By Liliana Bitter
