Warped Tour 2013: Are You Ready?

With summer right around the corner, so is Warped Tour. And with all the tests, quizzes, and overall school stress that we students get, summer just seems to be looking further and further away! But for several Garner students, Warped Tour is like a ray of light amidst pure darkness. Every year, the Vans Warped Tour tours around the U.S. playing for thousands of eager fans. By looking at this year’s line-up, Warped Tour 2013 is going to be absolutely amazing!

When asked what band they’re excited to see, Catherine Hittson (7) said “I’m really excited about Warped in general, and I can’t wait to see Memphis May Fire” and Saphire Mendez (8) said,“I’m looking forward to seeing Black Veil Brides.”

Band announcements began on December 7th during the show Warped Roadies on Fuse. Band announcements will continue every Friday until the kick-off party on March 28, 2013. Bands playing this year will include Black Veil Brides, August Burns Red, Blessthefall, Bring Me The Horizon, Chiodos, Memphis May Fire, Never Shout Never, Sleeping With Sirens, We Came As Romans, I See Stars, Like Moths to Flames, Woe, Is Me and many, MANY more. Warped Tour will come to San Antonio on August 3, 2013 so make sure to buy your tickets soon, before they sell out!

Valentine’s Day

 

As you know, Valentine’s day is coming and everyone is rushing to buy the one’s that they love a memorable gift , such as jewelry, boxes of chocolate, and the classic red roses. But some people are just using Valentine’s day as a day to slip away from their everyday life and fall in love with their loved ones all over again. Students at school are also getting prepared for this day. They’re buying roses and chocolates for the ones that they like and deserve something for Valentine’s day. Roses are red, violets are blue,buy someone a valentines gift, someone who truly loves you too.

Here Comes Track Season

Now that basketball season is over it’s now time for track season! A lot of people want to join track, because they love to run.
Seventh and 8th grade boys and girls start Monday February, 25th at 4:30. There are many options if you don’t like running, there’s a bunch of field stuff you could do, like pole vault, long jump, and a bunch of other cool stuff.

When asked, if he is going to try out for track, Johnathan Estrada (7) had exclaimed, “Yes I am, but I’m doing it because my coach had recommended me because I’m fast.”

When asked what are some of the things she’s doing in track, Ambriance Scott says (7),”I’m doing the 1oo and 2oo meter run because I love to run.”
