Avengers: Age of Ultron

If you didn’t know already, the Avengers:Age of Ultron trailer has been leaked. The trailer was supposed to show during Marvels new episode of “Agents of Shield”, but it obviously didn’t go as planned. The trailer is amazing and it looked like the movie is going to have a darker tone to it.

According to German Bolanos [8] he wants to see it because, “The first one is very cool and the graphics and all that was really amazing, and so I guess this one would be even better.”

The first Avengers movie main villain was Loki and his army. Many of us know who Loki is, or at least have heard of him, but do any people know who Ultron is?

Valente Rodriguez [8] says, “No, I’ve never heard of him.”

To give you a little background info on him, Ultron is the main foe of the Avengers, and he is originally created by a different superhero called Antman. There isn’t an Antman movie yet so in this case he is going to be created by Tony Stark. Ultron’s powers are super strength, speed, stamina, durability, reflexes, and flight, and he has hundreds of minion clones of himself. He could shoot energy blasts, and overall Ultron is a smart android / robot. To top it off he is made out of adamantium (adamantium is the same metal made out of Captain Americas shield), so Ultron is almost indestructible.

With the year going fast as usual it won’t be long till Avengers Age of Ultron comes on the big screen. It will hit theaters May 1, 2015.

Holiday Doors

Have you seen the holiday doors put on doors all around Garner Middle School? These doors are put up around Christmas, and are one of the biggest art projects in the school.

These doors all have a unique factor to them, they are made by the students.

Cody Krywoszej (8) says, “I think they are overall creative, colorful, and amazing.”

Michael Ellis (8) thinks they are, “really interesting and colorful.”

German Balanos (8) says, “yes, I have seen them and I like them because they stand out.”

These holiday doors are extravagant and they stand out, some more than others.

The teachers whose doors they are on get to choose what they have on the door and what theme it is.

The Flu Blues

Throughout the month a lot of people have been getting quite sick and the whole reason  is because it’s that time of the season again. I know what  your thinking; the fun type of season when we get presents, but really it’s the season of cold, rain, and FLU.

Throughout the week I went to some of the students wandering the halls of the school for a couple questions. First I asked Stephani Cisneros (6)  if she had ever had the flu and surprisingly she said “no”, Then I had to ask how she didn’t have the flu at all in her life and she responded in 2 words, “flu shots.”

Next we went to Hannah Aelvoet(7) and Christiana County(7) and asked if they were getting a flu shot this year since the flu has been spreading. Hannah said that she gets one every year to prevent getting sick. And Christiana said she is also getting a flu shot.

I have had the flu about 5 times (and I am not joking). I am severely afraid of shots, so I just get the nasal spray, which isn’t as painful.
