Many of you have read the Hunger Games series and now the movies are coming out. If the books were good, just imagine how good the movies will be.

“Catching Fire is going to be the best movie of the year.” says Dezmien Lugo (7).

“Can’t wait to see Catching Fire in the I max 3D,”says Jade Brookbank(7).

Everyone is lining up to get their tickets to go see Catching Fire on November 22. What a great way to start the winter with an amazing movie, some candy, popcorn, and a nice cold refreshing drink. No movie is going to compare to  Catching Fire. This movie is always getting good comments and also great ratings. So let’s get ready to sit, watch, and relax at the best movie of the year because it’s going to be amazing.

Spooktacular Volleyball

Let’s get ready for the last game of the season, Yearlings. The last game of the season is on Halloween night. Not every volleyball will play on Halloween night , but we’re all ready for the last game of volleyball. These are some of the girls that will play on that night: Rebecca San Miguel as a passer , Michele Lugo as a spiker , Jade Brookbank as a server and Sophia Ramos as a setter. These girls are lucky to be on the floor on the last game. The other best part is that the game is at Garner. The Garner Lady Yearlings are ready for whatever comes their way. Our Lady Yearlings are ready to defeat their enemy. Lets have an amazing game GO GARNER LADY YEARLING !

 

Twin Wars

Mr. Gaffney is a 7th grade Texas History teacher here at Garner. Many folks know that he has a twin brother named Martin and that they are both football coaches. Mr. Gaffney’s twin brother is a Kruger coach. They are playing against each other on October 16 at Garner from 4:30 – 7:00. Mr. Gaffney says if Garner wins his brother will be very upset with him but if Mr. Gaffney’s twin wins then he would be very upset , but they will still love each other. Mr. Gaffney , Carlos Ruelas (7) , Talee Hill (7) , German Bolanos (7), and Brendan Hail (7) all think they will win against Kruger . Mr. Gaffney said he will not be talking to his brother the day of the game because he always does but he doesn’t want to feel the tension.”No matter what happens we will still be best friend” Says Mr. Gaffney. Carlos Ruelas (7), Talee Hill (7), German Bolanos (7), and Brendan Hail (7) says they are going to feel excited about stepping onto the field to go against Krueger and they feel it’s going to be fun to go against their coach’s twin because it’s going to be a different game. “Watch out for Garner” says Carlos Ruelas. “Watch out for the Yearlings” says Talee Hill. “Get off the tracks Garner train coming through” says German Bolanos. “It’s going to be a great game” says Brendan Hail. Let’s get ready Garner football team it’s going to be the best game of the season. Watch out for the Gaffney Bowl !
