Twinkies!! Coming back to a Store near You!

Quite recently there has been a buzz over the Twinkies snack cake making its return to the shelves. The Metropoulos & Co Company has bought out the cake branch of Hostess and is planning to return all cakes such as Ho Hos, Zingers, Ding Dongs, and a variety of others but the most important being brought back is the Twinkie.

Now one question about the Twinkie is will it change? “I believe they won’t be different because they will probably use the same popular recipe as before,” Says Manuel Moke (8) grade.

Many people began to be relieved when they heard that all of their favored snacks would be flying to the shelves as soon as possible. “I’m so excited they are coming back because they are so tasty and sweet,” Luis Gutierrez (8).

Now that some input on this subject has reached you, be on the lookout for the soon to be revived Twinkies.

Spirit Sticks…GOOD FOR YOUR SOUL!

A quite recent craze that has come about at Garner is the brand new spirit sticks which come in many varieties of color, pattern, and rarity.

The spirit sticks sell at the Garner school store for $1.00 a piece. Students can also receive rare ones in class for doing good deeds for free.

“I believe that 50 cents would be a more reasonable price for the spirit sticks,” says Manuel Moke 8th grade.

The real and only controversy over the spirit sticks is price, but since you can also receive them for free from teachers, it may be a trend that continues to grow.

 Recently there has been a rise in interest for the game “Fun Run,” a wacky, funny racing game where you play as animals and earn points to buy accessories for said animal. Not only do you race against others but you can obtain abilities throughout the map to stop your rivals in their tracks to ensure your victory.

“I think the game’s fun because you run!” says Simon Cuellar of the 8th grade. Some students just flat out love the game, while others have a little more to say about it.
