New Security Measures In Place

After the Newton, Conn. school shooting, things have change around our school.  Quite recently the school districts have been taking new security measures by closing and locking all of the gates as well as locking all of the doors to the classrooms. This is a secure system, but are these measures too much?

Johnny Thomas (8) had this to say, “The new security has made it hard sometimes to get back into the classroom after going to do something.” Now there’s one student who thinks the new security has made things difficult but others agree with this view.

Manuel Moke (8) agrees with the new measures by saying, “I agree with the new security measures because it could help prevent what happened in Connecticut.”

3, 2, 1-Ignition: We Have Halo

Halo 4 is out now! A roar of excitement from students here can be heard for miles.

“I would stay home to play Halo 4 because it’s like Halo Reach but with better firefights,” says Hashim Mirza 6th grade.

Kids will stay home for Halo after so much excitement this season. 8th grader Ishmael Cancel says, “I think Halo 4 is a beast game because it has a better game play.”

Eighth grader Rori Hommand says, “Yeah, I like the new changes because Halo 4 changes are just amazing. The story is great, and the graphics are better,” A well rounded opinion.

Facebook Apps of Interest

Facebook is a site for games and those games are played by millions of people from any age group all around and can be played whenever the user chooses. Here are some student’s opinions on the Facebook apps.

“I prefer to play War Games, I guess,” says Giovanni Guevara of the 7th grade. Madison Garcia of 7th grade says, “I prefer to play strategy games” which is her take on the apps.

“My favorite game is ‘Dragons of Atlantis,’ says Gregory Barba of the 8th grade. There are still debates over which is the most popular app but will be found soon. Post your favorite Facebook game or just your favorite genre of games you prefer to play.
