Most likely, you are a guy or girl that likes to play video games. The only problem this year is that you have to decide whether or not you should get the PS4 or Xbox One. These consoles can basically be purchased at any type of family store (Wal-Mart, Target, and GameStop). The console parts are important in considering which a better buy is.

The PS4 and Xbox One both have the same brand of processers (CPU) but different models of them, making them much more different. In a test, they compared the exact parts with each other making the PS4 blow the Xbox away.

Another important thing to consider is the Graphics Card (GPU); in this case the PS4 beats it again having 2x the graphics power of the Xbox One.

One big down side for the PS4, is that the release date is still unknown, while the Xbox One comes out November 22, 2013.

While the technological differences aren’t that different, they are still entirely different brands. One thing though that makes the Xbox One a little bit more worth buying is that unlike the PS4, you get Xbox exclusives such as Halo 5 (name is unofficial), Forza Motorsports 5, Titan Fall, and some others. While that is in mind, you still are able to get all of this year and next year’s big blockbuster games such as Elder Scrolls Online, Battlefield 4, and others.

In all though, PS4 wins due to it performing much better than the XBOX one and it is $100 less in price.

People have been asking this question for years;”What’s better, Apple or Android?’’ Here are some facts to help you answer the question for yourself.  Apple, a multimillion dollar company, owns roughly about 44.9% of the market, while Android, also a multimillion dollar company, owns roughly closely to 44.8% of the market, according to Google.                   Steve Jobs died on October 5th, 2011. Lauren Wheat (7) says, “I’m sad because he should have had a better doctor.”

So now what is the Alpha phone? According to students at Garner MS 77% say apple is better  Henry McClure (7) says “I like apple because It’s legit.” And 23% say android and Lyle Bartels (7) says “I like android because it’s better than apple.”

Which has better battery life Apple of Android? 92% of students believe android has better battery life leaving apple with 8% of students.

Finally which is more simple to use Apple or Android? According to 95% of students say apple is easier to use leaving android with 5% of students. In conclusion most garner students prefer apple over android but, most garner students did say Android had better battery life. Post in the comments what you think the alpha phone is.

Frappuccino Hour

Cool. Icy. Refreshing. Creamy. Smooth. Frosty. These are just a few ways to describe Starbucks’ Famous Frappuccino. Some people describe it as a coffee milk shake, or a cold, rich delight with a hint of coffee. And now, Starbucks has a special Happy Hour! Between Three and Five p.m. every day, you can get half priced Frappuccinos. Students all over Garner are very excited for this new Happy Hour. Here’s what they have to say about it:

Julia Ortiz (8) says, “I am very excited for Happy Hour because I get more Frappuccinos. I like Frappuccinos because they’re good and they give me an energy boost.”

Vanessa Pineda (8), exclaims, “I love Frappuccinos! They’re so good, they make your taste buds want more! They’re delicious! I love Starbucks!”

But, Frappuccinos are not all Starbucks has to offer – they have a huge menu. Starbucks offers regular coffee in addition to their specialty coffees; they have iced coffee, tea, seasonal drinks, smoothies, hot chocolate, and espressos. Plus, they have food and desserts like sandwiches, yogurt, muffins, salad, various breads and cakes, oat meal, cookies, and scones.

As you can see, the new Happy Hour at Starbucks will be a big hit! Everybody is looking forward to it! I know I can’t wait to taste those delicious, creamy, cold, coffee milkshakes at half the price! Hope to see you there!
