Sleep Deprivation = Bad News
Before you decide to pull a “all-nighter,” think about the negative effects that you will suffer through the next day. Research shows that brain tissue is damaged after your body has been deprived of sleep.
“Epidemiologists noticed that people who work in the morning or late at night, or who lack sleep in general- have higher rates of diabetes, stroke, and high blood pressure…” This research shows that it is unhealthy to sleep less than eight hours a night.
In the United States, thirty -percent of adults sleep less than six hours each night. Those millions of people might be sustaining damage to their bodies. Also, biologists have discovered that people don’t get enough sleep create more stress hormones in their body.
Sleep- deprived people need to realize what they are doing to themselves mentally and physically. It is very important to get eight hours of sleep – or your body will suffer and so will your mind.
Sleep deprivation is a huge problem not only for students but for adults as well. Be sure to address the issues in your life that are keeping you wide awake at night. Hit is head on.
