Looking Back

My last year at Eisenhower as an 8th grader has gone by so fast and has been so enjoyable, exciting, and fun! There are many things Eisenhower has taught me, and I will always remember what they were, but one thing I will never forget is how to be part of a family. Me, my friends, and everyone around me, have grown stronger and have become closer. One challenging thing for me this year was band. Everything became harder, especially any of the audition music. All the G’s and A’s above the staff, talk about not being able to breathe! Other than that, band was really enjoyable for me. One thing that was hard for me, but is easy now, would probably be algebra. At first I had no clue what any of the terms meant or how do the simplest task, but now I’ve been able to help others because I finally got the hang of it. I would like to thank Ms. Stevens for that. She was always encouraging and always made sure that everyone in class understood what was happening and would help them if they needed it. My favorite place in the school would probably be the cafeteria. You can mingle with your friends, eat your delicious food, and have some fun and funny memories made there. One thing i wish we could change would be to allow 6th graders to be apart of our yearbook staff. You never know, they may be a big help and may have some great ideas too. Some advice i would give future students would be to always listen, stay positive, and get your work done! If i could go back and give myself a letter it would probably say, to find something enjoyable in everything you do, stay positive, and never ditch your friends for someone else, because they may ditch you and not come back. Tiring, stressful, long, fun, crazy, sad would be 6 adjectives to describe my school year. I don’t really know what highschool is going to be like, but I hope It will Be as good of an experience as middle school was. I will miss all of my favorite teachers, including Coach Leyva, very much. They have all been so helpful, not just with the class topic, but also being a friend. I have learned so much from them and hope that their future students do to.
