Eighth Grade Waiters and Waitresses?!

Jackson Waiters and Waitress?!

A few weeks ago during eighth grade lunch, Mrs. Ginsburg and other lovely volunteer moms had manned the sign up stations. Sign up for what, we asked ourselves? Soon, our curious minds couldn’t take it, and there was a giant group crowding the table.

I pushed myself through the crowd until I got to the front, and then I saw a big advertisement for being waiters and waitress at Las Chiladas, a close by delicious Mexican restaurant. I personally knew the owners and their family, and I’ve been going ever since I was a little girl, so I avidly signed up. I saw a lot of other kid’s signatures, but I think only half are really going to help out.

Las Chiladas is located on North West Military, right next to Churchill High School. It’s been there for a good amount of years, and the original owner was a great man named Al. I used to call him Owl since I was such a little kid, but I loved to eat there. From the carne guisadas to their classic bean and cheese tacos, they have never failed to disappoint me.

All the proceedings collected from November 8th will go to our eighth grade party, which reminds me: What do you want the theme to be? Hawaiian, 80’s, or Sports?

An informational practice meeting will be held Monday November 7th, so all those going, attend this meeting! A little reminder, it’s for eighth graders only! Sorry all you younger readers, but maybe you can join in a year or two.

Lastly, please come! It’ll help us eighth graders have a spectacular dance, and you get to eat delicious tacos! And who doesn’t like tacos?

Signing off!

Samantha Delgado, Editor-in-Chief of The Paw.

I wish I could have gone and supported the 8th Graders. I heard that it was a huge successful event. We’re gonna have a good 8th grade party because we had huge support from Jackson middle school and the families.
