The Johnson tennis team is off to a winning start this year, losing just one match against Churchill.

“We’re doing really good; our biggest challengers would be Reagan and Churchill,” sophmore varsity tennis player Florencia Bigatti said. “We’re playing Reagan in two weeks and practicing really hard for it.”

The varsity team is doing better than last year when they secured fourth in district the previous year, but since they recently beat MacArthur they are now third. “We’re way better than last year and our guys are pretty beast. Our team is also really close now with everyone.”
