The Johnson aquatic team is back with a splash and ready for action. This year, swimmers predict that through hard work and dedication, there will be no slowing down.

“We want to go undefeated, we want to at least place 2nd in district and hope to win at regionals,” junior Josh Morgan said.

Though the swimmers are confident in this year’s season, they will face stiff competition and have some challenging obstacles to overcome.

“Alamo Heights will be a tough team to beat and Churchill will also be close,” Morgan said.

There is also a significant amount of bad blood between our closest school in the district – Reagan High School.

“Reagan is our biggest rival,” junior Gianna Decanini said.

The divers have high expectations for their first male diver, junior Dylan Sucich, this upcoming season.

“I want our first guy diver for Johnson to go at least to district finals.” Decanini said.
