Swimming competes at TISCA championship

Jag Swimming make a splash at the TISCA Championships on Saturday. Only the area’s best swimmers are asked to compete in the event.

The girls took sixth place overall and the boys placed ninth. All together, Johnson came in sixth place.

New records were also set. Sophomore Brianna Higgins, freshman Raquel Grays, junior Riley Marks, and senior Celeste Morgen broke the record for the 400 yard freestyle relay by ten seconds.

Junior Cameron Wickes distinguished himself by swimming the first sub-five minute 500 yard freestyle in school history.

The team will compete in diving on Friday, December 10 and swimming on Saturday, December 11.
