By Frank Rohrig | Staff Writer

We sat down and interviewed AP Biology and Anatomy and Physiology teacher Oscar Velasquez to answer those questions which the general population would shirk at asking. As well they should. After all; Mr. V is a great white shark at heart.

If you could speak any language, what would it be?

OV: Mandarin Chinese, because I would like to go to China one day and have enough control over the language to actually communicate directly with the people.

If you were an animal, which animal would you be?

OV: A great white shark, so I wouldn’t have very many enemies that could defeat me.

Where do you spend most of your time?

OV: I probably spend most of my time at this school, because this is where I work.

What kind of music do you listen to?

OV: I mostly like to listen to a bunch of underground music; indie, pop, emo music. Like The Postal Service, Death Cab for Cutie; that kind of thing.

What television show are you most looking forward to this season?

OV: One of my favorite shows just came back, which is Modern Family, And there is also The Office, which I like to watch as well.

What is your favorite thing about Johnson?

OV: I like the atmosphere. I like that it feels like a community at this school. I feel like all the teachers are well-educated. It’s an atmosphere that makes sure that students try and do their best.
