Six Flags opens ‘Fright Fest’ for fall fun

Zombies, monsters, ghouls and goblins are making their way to Six Flags Fiesta Texas for it’s 20th annual Fright Fest. Spooky decorations with fog and creepy crawly things including oversized spiders and webs are scattered around the park. The walking zombies and other creatures in elaborate costumes and makeup are sure to scare when they jump out to surprise or follow you throughout.

The park is not at all short of the eeriness of Halloween. At 6pm sharp the park transforms from “Thrills by Day” to “Fright by Night.”

“I felt the fear of Halloween, but at the same time I felt the excitement that a theme park has to offer. It was a very exquisite experience,” senior Ryan Cook said.

Fright Fest is open from Oct. 1-30 on Saturdays and Sundays, featuring the Haunted Mansion at the front of the park for $5. General admission varies from $39.99 to $49.99, depending on the day you plan to visit. Coupons are available at participating Sonic locations offering $15 off. 2012 season passes are now on sale for $69.99.
