“I think we can win this series against Edinburg. We have been playing really well lately and we’ve swept our last three series this playoffs. Hopefully we can sweep this series like we’ve done the last few series,” junior Joseph Haight said.

The Jags will look to continue their successful run this series. They have won their last three series to get to the fourth round and will look to continue their run to the ultimate goal – a state championship.

“I really think we have a good chance to win it all. We have a very solid team with no weak links in the chain and I think we will be able to pull it off and become state champs,” senior Zach Shuffield said.

Sweeping the series 2-0 has been the outcome of the first 3 rounds of the playoffs for the Jags. They will look to sweep the Edinburg Cougars and advance to the Regional Finals.

“Hopefully we can sweep Edinburg this series like we’ve done to the other teams. If we don’t sweep them and we get forced into a game 3, I think we can definitely pull it off,” Shuffield said.

The Jags believe they can pull out the wins needed to advance into the fifth round of the playoffs also known as the Regional Finals. It will be a tough series, but they still believe they can win against Edinburgh even if it means a decisive game 3.

“It feels great sweeping a team because you don’t have to worry about going into a game 3 where it’s do or die and you can move onto the next round. Since we’ve been 9-0 throughout playoffs, I’m very confident in my teammates and I think we’ll be able to pull it off,” Shuffield said.
