The varsity football team will be hosting the annual Johnson Lift-A-Thon on Monday, April 15 to raise money for the football program. This competition challenges the football team to lift as much as they can.

“The lift-a-thon is a bench press competition that we do during our off season, but it is also our fundraiser for the football program as well,” Rittiman said.

This competition is held annually by coach Rittiman and coach Cueva. All are welcome to come watch the football players max out.

“It’s all the football players, but everybody is invited to come attend and watch. We do it in the gym and they can be part of it, yell and scream and go crazy. It’s a lot of fun, ” Rittiman said.

Coach Rittiman welcomes all the students to come support and watch this competition.

“It’s the same every year, we raise enough money to support our football program for the next school year and for every player in our program to lift more weight that night than they have ever lifted in their life.” Rittiman said.
