With the release of the new mario kart tour game, and new Call of Duty Mobile game students are downloading the game rapidly.

“I’ve been playing the new mario kart tour game that just came out,” Sophomore Devin Tyson said. “ I downloaded it about 2 weeks ago, I preordered it.”

Mario Kart which was released on September 25 2019 has already racked up 90 million first week downloads according to eurogamer.net.

“I play mario kart daily. There was a time they put a leaderboard out and i was trying to get 1st,” Tyson said.

Mario Kart is not the only game that has been released recently, Call of duty mobile has also made its way around the campus.

“ I’ve also been playing the new call of duty black ops mobile game that just came out, I downloaded it about 3 days ago.”

Call Of Duty Mobile which released October 1 racked up 100 million downloads within the first week according to Reuters.com smashing records and surpassing first shooter games like pubg mobile, and fortnite mobile by almost tallying up 4 times the number of week 1 installs for their games.

“ I downloaded Call of duty because everyone said it was going to be good, and I’ve been playing it the past two days,” Tyson said.

Mario kart is still making improvements to their game, as they did not release multiplayer on their day one launch, but it is coming soon to the game.

“Mario kart you can’t play with your friends yet but soon you can they haven’t released the update yet.”

However call of duty mobile released with multiplayer from the start, and students on campus are able to compete with friends in 5-on-5 matches where they can select from a variety of game modes including team deathmatch, domination, and search and destroy and more.

“ Call of Duty mobile you can play with friends, and they have a lot of game modes to choose from,” Tyson said.

Mario Kart has a wide variety of characters consisting of 20 plus characters to choose from with different rarity levels starting with silver as most common, then gold, and ending with the most rare-pink.

“My favorite would be metal mario, Paulina or dry bowser.”

Call of duty mobile however has been more intriguing to some students over mario kart.

“ I downloaded them because they looked fun,” Freshman Eli Masannat said.

Both games are played by students all around campus and for some they have been their favorite game to be released on the phone yet.

“Call of duty mobile is my favorite game to come to the phone yet,” Masannat said.
