High expectations for the Johnson football team proved too great as Wagner put seven points on the board within the first two minutes of the game. Both squads didn’t score additional points over the course of the first half, leaving a snooze-worthy 7-0 halftime score.
The Johnson volleyball team held their annual “Dig for the Cure” game Tuesday, Aug. 31. The event brought in money for the Susan G. Komen Cancer Research Center.
The Johnson Varsity football team had their first game Friday, August 27, and started off the season with a monumental win. Even though it took the team until the last seconds of the first half to take a 7-0 lead, they held on for a 21-14 win.
This Saturday, the first annual “Jag-a-thon” is set to start a new tradition, inviting both school athletes and local runners/walkers to participate in the 5K/ 10K fun walk and run at 8 am.
A total of seven Johnson Jags were fortunate enough this year to be able to sign with universities all around the United States.
