Hidden Figures
To start off this list, I chose to start with the New Year’s first successful movie. Hidden Figures is a motion picture that came out on January 6, 2017. This movie is about three African American women helping NASA launch one of the first successful space missions.

As the year winds down, so do the number of parking spots that are available in the student parking lot. This significant decrease in an already limited amount of parking spaces can be attributed to the increased amount of sophomores who are illegally parking on campus.
Even as this school year comes to an end, the work is not over yet. While some seniors have already been accepted to college because they applied early, others are still awaiting their letters of acceptance because they applied later on.
The bus ride was long, but the legacy that was created would last so much longer. An opportunity to make history was presented and they accepted it. The cheerleaders overcame obstacles and persevered through tough times to become the first winners of the UIL State competition.
Who knew the old home of miller could make for such a great restaurant. Right when you walk into The Guenther House, your focus goes to the display case full of pastries and cakes. After you’ve had your meal, you’ll want to buy everything in that case.
If you venture a little out of the Johnson area and head south down 281, you may discover a pizza place that is not your typical chain restaurant ie. Papa John’s, Pizza Hut, Domino’s. That little pizza place would be Dough Pizzeria Napoletana. With a sign that boasts their motto of “Pizza Forever,” you know the pizza here is going to be amazing before you even walk in the door. Of course that’s if there isn’t a line out the door, so when you decide to go, pick a time when you’ll be more likely to be seated because San Antonio loves this restaurant. Sunday at 4:15 is a pretty good time right before the dinner crowd rushes in.
There are many opportunities for volunteering in the San Antonio community so you can choose one that suits your personal interest.
