Animal Rescue
The rate of homeless dogs and cats continues to rise not only because careless people don’t take care of them, but the economy also takes a part in it. When a person has two or three dogs and has a stable job they can take care of those little furry friends, but if they lose their job they might have to let them go. With only small amounts of volunteers the shelters might not always be able to accept the dogs people can’t take care of any more. Even worse, if a kill shelter would find a dog they put a time limit of three days before the dogs are put to sleep permanently or in other words they kick the can. Fortunately, one of the kill shelters of San Antonio is making a change and becoming more humane by becoming a regular rescue shelter. This means there will be more need for volunteers which they don’t have. To make things worst, not only dogs are being kicked out. People who don’t want their cats any more will go leave them in parks including places like the Japanese Tea Gardens which is a nature park with lots of exotic plants. Even though you might not see them and realize it there are thousands maybe even millions of home less dogs, cats, even reptiles like lizards, or tamed birds that can be killed in the “wild”.

SAVE THE DOGS! TREAT THEM WITH CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love animals, especially dogs! That is so sad but true. My dog Chloe was adopted from the San Antonio Humane Society and when the fixed her, the stitches split! They don’t care about animals. Help them!
