Falcons Get Outstanding Rating At Photography Contest

Eight Krueger students were recognized by the Greenspaces Alliance of South Texas for outstanding work in the Picture Your World photography contest.  The contest is sponsored by the San Antonio Express News, San Antonio Library Foundation, and Greenspaces Alliance and works in conjunction with several professional photographers in San Antonio.
With over 1000 students participating in the Picture Your World program, Krueger took home eight of the 30 total awards, beating students from Johnson High School, Bradley Middle School, Lopez Middle School, and countless other middle and high schools in south Texas.

Honorable Mentions:

Megan Frese, 13-18 year old division

Sara Fagan, 13-18 year old division

Ryan Adams, 13-18 year old division

Charlee Scarlett, 13-18 year old division

Regina Compean, 8-12 year old division

Dustin Bartlett, 8-12 year old division

FIRST PLACE And $300 CASH PRIZE

JESSLEY UPHAM, 13-18 YEAR OLD DIVISION

SECOND PLACE AND $200 CASH PRIZE

VICTORIA ALBRIGHT, 13-18 YEAR OLD DIVISION

All winners photos have been framed and matted and will be displayed in San Antonio Public Libraries throughout the summer.

The photography students are advised by Krueger Journalism and Photography teacher Brenda Marafiato.
