Hot Diggity Doo Dah, ISA’s annual celebration, welcomed parents and students alike to a brand new year on campus. With food, soda, or paletas in hand, students fiddled over locker combinations, compared schedules, and checked out textbooks, distributed with the help of National Honors Society members.
Another student organization assisting at Hot Diggity were the ISA PALS (Peer Assistance and Leadership), who helped incoming freshmen get to know each other and the school with games and icebreakers.
“I’m excited about it,” Yannis Constantinide, 9th said, “All the people I’ve seen so far are pretty cool.”
Thanks to the parent booster club, ISA Amigos, families can show their Globie Pride with T-shirts, hoodies, blankets, supplies and more for sale. Students also captured this day with individual pictures taken for IDs and 2010-2011 Yearbook.
“It was wonderful,” principal Kathy Bieser said on her blog, “to see the ISA halls once again filled with students, teachers, and parents excited about the new school year that begins tomorrow.”
