STEM Goes Eco-Friendly; Wind Turbine Complete

STEM students finished creating their prototype wind turbine on October 20. The students worked extremely hard trying finish the design, working during class and coming in before and after school. The students received a help from Robin Howard, the teacher in charge of the eco-friendly project. The wind turbine stands tall and proud behind room 503B.

The students created the wind turbine from scratch. The blades were made from PVC piping that had to be cut and ground down to precise measurements. The wind turbine will eventually be used to gather and store electricity that will then be used to charge the STEM student laptops.
