Today is going to be one of the most exciting NBA games to start off the season with Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics at The Garden, the Suns hosting the Trailblazers and the defending champions LA Lakers facing the Houston Rockets.
We will see how it starts, guaranteeing great night for NBA fans.
The Miami Heat vs. the Boston Celtics is the game of the week because everybody wants to see the “Big 3” play. Mainly to watch how Lebron James is going to play with another superstar in Dwayne Wade.
Miami will be one of the top teams of the East, but they have to start off the season against a power house East team against the Boston Celtics.
The Celtics are just like the Spurs; the only thing beating them is “Father Time.” They have an improved team with two additions; big men both named O’Neal – Shaq and Jermaine – plus another shooter coming off the bench, Delonte West.
With one of the best point guards in the NBA, Rajon Rondo, and one of the best shooters in the game, Ray Allen, who had a poor NBA Finals going two for twenty-three in the last five games of the NBA Finals. Then the truth Paul Pierce and big ticket Kevin Garnett.
Miami Heat also has a good roster with some weapons around Lebron, Wade, and Bosh. You got the big 3 and King James; you have Mike Miller who is injured until January, point guard Mario Chalmers, shooter Eddie House, then veterans Juwan Howard and Big Zydrunas IIgauskas. Miami is getting a lot of Heat (no pun intended) from everyone, but this team has a lot of talent – probably the best trio in NBA history.
The Los Angeles Lakers tip off the season with a ring ceremony and have to play a healthy Houston Rockets team that has a great young lineup: point guard Aaron Brooks, great defender in Shane Battier, guard Courtney Lee, veteran Brad Miller, a healthy Yao Ming, and Luis Scola.
This Rockets team is very underrated and has a lot of potential to be in the Western Conference Finals. As the Western Conference just seems to get better and better each year.
