“The Drive for Five”: Spurs Basketball

Last night the Spurs played against a young, hungry Pacers team with one of NBA top scorers: Danny Granger. Tim Duncan and the Spurs did great, moving the ball around the rotation.

Duncan got his usual 20&10; 23 points, 12 rebounds, 4 blocks and 2 steals as Spurs beat the Pacers 122 to 109.

Spurs will need to be playing like this against real teams in the West like the Lakers, Mavericks, Rockets, Thunder, Clippers, Nuggets, and Trailblazers. The Spurs are still hungry, but are in a tough Eastern Conference where home court advantage is big; very big.

The division is so tough with the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks, the Spurs meet these teams four times each.

Spurs have the best big man to ever play the game, Tim Duncan. He will lead the Spurs to win back to playing what their fans all know as “Spurs Basketball.”

Their great lineup includes Ginobili, Parker, Hill, Jefferson, Blair, Anderson, and Splitter. Most of our line up right there can score double digits when teams needs it.

For the Spurs to win this season, one huge thing all they have to do is stay healthy. If Spurs are healthy for sure a contender when the Spurs are healthy they can beat anybody.

It is just the first game of the season fans will see how it plays out. Perhaps the fans in San Antonio can once again go to the River walk and see the Finals Trophy, chanting” Go Spurs Go!”

This year their main goal is “Drive for Five.”
