Students Win Writing Gold Key

The following LEE/NESA Creative Writers won recognition and are advancing to the National Level Competition. These poems, essays, and stories were chosen out of 12, 000 entries across the nation:10th – Emily Taylor for her poems “Distance, Eyes, Acrimony, and “Rodents”

11th – Aida Guhlin for her narrative “A Tin Pan On a Blue-Shaded Afternoon.”

11th – Isabella Bejar for her humorous essay “Funeral Instructions”

9th – Joshua Villegas for his poems “The Hardest Part of Waking Up,” and “When You Keep Her Waiting.”

10th – Reagan Zuniga for her poems “Grandpa Petro, Autumn Monsoons, Diamond Dust, Mirror Beings, and Perceptions.”
