ISA MUN Wins Awards at Reagan & Roosevelt

The last two Model United Nations conferences of the school year were hosted by NEISD schools.

On March 26th, the Model United Nations Simulation at Theodore Roosevelt (MUNSTR) was held, open to 8th and 9th graders. ISA took a group of 17 incoming and current freshmen, bringing back eight delegate awards.

Winners include:

Best Delegate

  • Ciara Moreno in the UN Human Rights Council
  • Katherine Sotelo in the General Assembly
  • Alli Richter in the World Health Organization

Outstanding Delegate

  • Anjali Khatri in the UN Human Rights Council
  • Zac Ziebell in the General Assembly

MUNSTR Delegates

April 2nd was the day for RUNWAY, Reagan’s Model United Nations conference. With the theme of “Green-Out,” delegates discussed issued from energy independence to pirate whaling, and also won eight awards.

Cesar Martinez, Cameron Day, John Roussin – representing Colorado State University

Best Delegate/Delegation

  • Marc Lewenthal & Samantha Abney – Germany in the European Union
  • Rachel Richter – West Germany in the IAEA Chernobyl Crisis Committee
  • Brandon Blackthorne – Iceland in the World Trade Organization

Outstanding Delegate : Liz Farrell – East Germany  in the IAEA Chernobyl Crisis Committee

Honorable Mention

  • Connor Mitchell – Spain in the World Trade Organization
  • Charlotte Carpenter – China in the International Whaling Commission
  • Cosmo Albrecht – Peru in the  IAEA Chernobyl Crisis Committee
