Boys Track Team Goes The Distance

Congratulations to the boys track team for a great showing at the district track meet. We had two individuals qualify for the Regional track meet.

They are Alex Ntagawa running a personal best and placing second in the 3200 meter run and Josh McMillen also running personal bests placing second in the 300 meter hurdles and third in the 110 meter hurdles.

They will compete at Alamo Stadium, May 2nd and 3rd for the chance to go to the state meet in Austin.

Other Varsity athletes placing are: Caleb Escobedo placed 4th in the 800 meter run, the 4 x 100 meter relay composed of Jose Arredondo, Johnathan Sanchez, Jeremy Chavez, and Bryan Molina placed 5th , Gabriel Ramos placed 5th in the pole vault, Cambell Westmorland placed 6th in the pole vault and Nathaniel Liggins placed 6th in the shot put.

JV medals went to: David Parish 2nd in the 110 meter hurdles, Hilario Cabrera 3rd in the 110 meter hurdles, Fernando  Chavez 4th in the pole vault, Chris Shearer 5th in the pole vault, Milton Lima 5th in the 110 meter hurdle.

The 4 x 200 meter relay of Samuel Barrios, Nick Moreno, James Hernandez,  and Andrew Saucedo placed 5th.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of  Jose Ramirez, Nick Moreno, James Hernandez, and Andrew Saucedo placed 6th and the 4 x 400 meter relay team of Michael Hamilton, Samuel Barrios, Michael Espinoza, and Isaac Alverado placed 6th
