SWAT Team Sets up Water Conservation

The Student Water Action Team recently completed a Water Conservation through Rainwater Harvesting and Native Landscaping project.

They placed large black barrels on campus that will catch rainwater and can be used for watering plants nearby.

The project, funded primarily by a grant from San Antonio Water System, was called ‘Water Conservation through Rainwater Harvesting and Native Landscaping’, and there was another project on campus that is creating a greenhouse and herb garden. Lee is the only public school in South Texas with rainwater harvesting, although it is catching on quickly.
