Cowboys’ First Win A Total Victory

Man, what a game it was for Cowboys fans Sunday at San Francisco’s Candlestick Park. A broken rib didn’t stop Tony Romo for one bit after a 27-24 overtime comeback victory against the 49ers Sunday afternoon.

“We are talking about a football player, about a competitor and he did that today,” Head Coach Jason Garrett said about Tony Romo in a post-game interview.

Romo threw for 345 yards and two touchdowns including a 77 yard completion to Jesse Holley. Holley hasn’t started a game since fall of 2006 when he was with the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Miles Austin caught 9 passes for 3 touchdowns with 149 reception yards.

Jason Witten who, probably the best TE to play the game today, caught 7 passes for 102 reception yards.

The Cowboys played a good game, but not great. They are going to have to play better this week when they take on the division rival Washington Redskins on Monday at 7:30 on ESPN in Arlington, Texas at the new Cowboys stadium.
