Frances Cobain Lives a Double Fashion Life

Her parents may be rock royalty, but don’t expect any grunge coming from this head-strong girl.

Frances Bean Cobain is the daughter of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and troubled Hole singer Courtney Love. And even though she hasn’t done anything “valid” with her life yet, people are fasinated by her. But in one of her few interviews, she makes it clear that she is “not her parents.” And she certainly shows it through her style.

Frances Cobain shows off her goth side.

During Frances’s pre-teen years, we always saw her glued to her mother’s hip. While Courtney doned Black dresses, strappy heels, and smeared make-up, Frances lightly glowed with Blonde hair, pale Blue eyes, and clothes bursting with bright colors like white, light pink, and light blue.

“I don’t like to look sloppy. I’m a girly-girl.”

But as she hit 16, Frances developed a more darker style: favoring Crimson lipstick, Jet Black hair, and Black band T-shirts.

“I adore Dita Von Teese’s style. She’s like a very dark, gothic, beautiful burlesque doll.”

Now that she’s all grown up, Frances has a more mature, chic look: big sunglasses, clunky boots, and lots of floral prints.

Cobain shows off her girly style.

She once said of her style, “My look is a Modern Bohemian type thing.”

But her clothes aren’t the only thing that keeps changing. She’s dyed her hair every subtle color you can think of: blonde, brown, black, and red (possibly as a homage to her father?)

Whether you like her girly-girl or fun goth, Frances’s style is very easy to steal. You can buy her lipstick at just about any drug store and most of her clothes can be found at your local mall.
