The JEA/NSPA National Convention has come and gone. Lee High School students competed for the first time on a national level and long-time advisor Brenda Slatton is pleased with the results.
“Our yearbook came in sixth place and we were so excited,” she said. “That book was good but this year’s book is even better so I can’t wait to compete again.”
Individual students also competed with Katherine Sotelo coming out the best. She was awarded an Excellent rating in Yearbook Layout: Theme.
Four other students received an Honorable Mention rating: Lauralee Kalinec in Computer Design: Infographic; Rebecca Rodriguez in Computer Design: Logo; Alyssa Dillard in Computer Design: Headline; and Samantha Martinez in Yearbook Layout: Inside Pages.
