And 5, 6, 7, 8, the Dixie Drill team dance their hearts out everyday.
Elysia Leos, Junior in ISA, is a Dixie Driller.
The dancers have to be dedicated in order to be a Dixie Driller.
“I have been a Dixie Driller for two years,” Elysia said. “We practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school, Friday mornings, and I personally practice on the weekend.”
Dixie Drillers don’t always plan to be a dancer when they graduate.
” I am not going to use dance because I plan to major in communications but dancing in high school is fun,” Elysia said. ” I joined because I thought it would be fun, and I wanted to hang out with my friends.”
The Dixie Drillers have creative dances.
” The next dance is a surprise, so I can’t tell you, ” Elysia said. ” They are fun dances to perform.”
