PALs to Host Movie

The Lee PALS will be hosting a Say No To Hate event on November 19th from 7 to 8:45 p.m.

All students, clubs and organizations are invited to join them in the auditorium for the event.

They will be showing the film, “Cyberbully, Words Can Hurt”  and having an interactive panel discussion with audience participation.

Cyberbully is a 2011 movie starring Emily Osment. It is a story about a girl named Taylor who is bullied online after offending a classmate.

The film was made by ABC Family and the magazine Seventeen. They began a campaign against cyber-bullying and released online “badges” that can be added to profiles on sites like Facebook. The “badges” read “[delete] digital drama”.

The film has earned minor internet fame and is rated TV-14.

If any parent would like to preview the movie prior to this event they can contact Norma Jaime-Hernandez, PAL Sponsor at 210-356-0874.

There is no charge for this event.  Candy and water will be sold to benefit the PALS program.
