Literary Festival

Friday, April 12, NESA junior and senior Creative Writer’s attended the Literary Festival, which was held at Our Lady of the Lake University. Other high schools were present as well. (Laniar High School,  Young Women’s Leadership Academy,

In the morning, the students’, parents and Creative Writing teacher, Amy Stengel sat in the auditorium for a talk with two Hispanic authors from San Antonio Anel Flores and Laurie Ann Guerro. After the talk, they could buy books, have them signed by the authors and have a small chat with them, before being sent off in groups, for a tour of the campus.

Once the tour was over, all students were taken to the athletic center, for Spoken Word Poetry, hosted by the Blah Blah Blah poetry slam organization.
