JROTC cadets are the unsung heroes for our football games. They help loading and unloading cheerleading equipment, they hold the banner for the football players to run through. They also run the flags after every touchdown, which they’ve been doing quite often this year.
The JROTC will also head to Universal Methodist Church for the organization Feed My Starving Baby this Saturday. The goal for the organization is to pack four million meals by the end of Sunday. Organizers say they need 20,000 volunteers to make the mission a success.
“Hunger is something we can all do something about and if you just give two hours of your time, you’re able to make a huge difference in the world,” Heather Hecht said.
The mission of JROTC is “to motivate students to be better citizens.” JROTC is a program enriched in tradition and focuses much time and effort supporting our school and community. The curriculum provides students (cadets) skills to enable them throughout life, regardless of profession; leadership, communication, and management are but a few.
