Cat-Astrophy Strikes Stone Oak Residents

mountain-lion

A wild Mountain lion has been seen roaming the Stone Oak area near the greenbelt area on October 7, 2014. The lion was first encountered Saturday night.

Mountain lion attacks are rare with only four recorded attacks since 1980, (none of which were fatal). However, it’s best not to take any chances. According to the witness, the lion is about seven feet long with footprints as wide as four to five inches, as well as possibly weighing around 250 pounds.

It is advised to stay indoors until the mountain lion is either caught or leaves the area. If the lion seen, contact the authorities, and try to remain as distant as possible. Keep any pets inside to avoid any conflict.
