The last District game won was back in 2008. 14 years later, Varsity football has finally won a District game, and against Roosevelt, on Friday, Nov. 7, at the Blossom. The final score was 47-38.
Quarterback Kyle Fuller was honored this week for his outstanding performance in the Vol’s last week 55-10 victory over the Jefferson Mustangs. Fuller threw six touchdown passes, passed for a total of 594 yards and ran for a 13-yard TD.
He nearly broke the record of 10 touchdowns in a game before he was pulled out by coaches.
Chris Adams (184), Mark Sullivan (155) and Sergio Solis (121) all caught passes and amassed over 100 yards in the victory.
