Brahma Football Preview: Post-season Game 1 Versus New Braunfels

The New Braunfels Unicorns will host the first round of the Division II, 5A playoffs against the MacArthur Brahmas this Friday, November 12 at 7:30 PM. Brahma Football has gained a district 26-5A record of 5-1 and overall record of 9-1. The Unicorns finished 4-1 in district 25-5A and 6-4 overall. The last meeting of the two teams was on September 10 in which MacArthur won 28-10.

The contest will surely be an exciting one. “We’re working hard this week. Playoff time is crunch time. We’re looking to have brutal game on both fronts but in the end Brahmas will reign and we will beat the heck out of the Unicorns,” said left guard Shawn Moskwa, junior.

Head football coach and athletic coordinator Van Fuschak says “[the] kids have worked hard the whole season and as [they] continue to fine tune the anticipation only increases. The playoff run is something you don’t see every year, and [as we move on to each game] the guys will surely enjoy the best part of high school football, postseason.”

  1. I hope the brahma boys dont get to confident cause new branfuels also won district champs for their district…this is gonna be a great game to see.
