Crafts for sale at the festival

2013 marks the Year of the Snake.

Sat. Feb. 16 San Antonio’s Institute of Texan Cultures held its 26th annual Asian Festival. Food, dancing, crafts and art were a big part of the celebration.

The Asian Festival had many stands featuring trinkets for sale from Asian countries.

There were not enough food stands to satisfy the curiosity and hunger of the many people who showed up.

The Asian Festival showcased a variety of dances including the Chinese New year dragon dance, Bahli dances, and asian folk dancing.

It was an honor to have Padaung women of Asia in San Antonio for the festival, showing the how beautiful and unique each culture is.
