Brahmas Beat Madison For Spot In Playoffs

The varsity baseball team won a difficult game against Madison which secured them a spot in the playoffs. The Brahmas started off strong scoring the first run of the game but Madison soon caught up scoring a run of their own. The score remained tied for the next two innings until Patrick Mendoza (11) hit resulting in a score for Mac.

Both of the teams went into the fourth inning strong with another run scored by the team, bringing the score to 3-2 Mac. They continued their lead until the very end of the last inning when Madison came out of know where to tie the game 3-3. As the excitement in the stands picked up, so did the determination in the team. With two outs in the top of overtime, the Brahmas had to score if they wanted a chance in playoffs.

“Come on boys,” Coach Alferi yelled.

The tension lingered as the crowd waited for the next up to bat, number four stepped up to the plate and hit the ball just far enough to get each player to home base. The Brahmas won 6-3 to secure their spot in the playoffs.
